Pick a new park each time. There's so many to choose from!

Massapequa/Massapequa Park


  • Brady Park, Massapequa Park (Baseball, Basketball, Bocci, Shuffleboard, Horseshoes, Senior Center, BBQ Area with Grills, Walking Path Around the Pond, & Playground)
    • [BIKE PATH] Runs about 9mi from Massapequa Preserve off Merrick Road, through Massapequa Park, Walker Park near Lakeshore Drive, and over Southern State through Farmingdale to Bethpage Park. (See Below)
  • Burns Park, Massapequa Off Merrick Road (Basketball, Baseball, Football, LAX, Tennis, Soccer, Handball, Volleyball, Playground, Restrooms, Boat Slip, concession Stand, & a community room) Summer Concerts are here in the back field.
  • Anchor Park, Massapequa (Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Baseball, & Playgrounds)
  • Field of Dreams Park, East Massapequa (Soccer, Tennis, Playgrounds, & Restrooms)
  • Bethpage State Bikeway (leads South go Jones Beach or North to Farmingdale )
  • Tobay Beach (516/679-3900) is a large beach area just East of Jones Beach via the Wantagh Parkway. Amenities include hibachis, horseshoes, mini-golf, a marina, nature walk, a play area, refreshments, a restaurant, a large spray park, and volleyball.
  • Philip B. Healey Beach at Florence Avenue (516/797-7994) is a small beach cut out of a residential area. Parking is free after 4pm. Amenities include hivachis, a pavilion, picnic area, play area, and a small spray park.
  • Marjorie Post Community Park & Pool (516/797-7990) is on the corner of Unqua and Merrick Roads. Amenities include sports fields (basketball, handball, tennis, bocce, checkerboards, handball, hibachis, & volleyball), ice skating (seasonal), a community room, two play areas {Fenced TODDLER SECTION}, a picnic area, adult and kiddie pools, pavilion, and nature walks.

Farmingdale


  • Ellsworth W. Allen Park, Farmingdale (516/755-1842) off Heisser Lane and Motor Avenue is a large park. Amenities include sports fields (baseball, basketball, football, LAX, soccer, handball, tennis, & volleyball), a community room, a picnic area, refreshments, and a small spray park (Ask inside to have it turned on.)
  • Bethpage State Park, Farmingdale/Bethpage (Park at the end in Bethpage has a playground/picnic area)
  • Michel Park, East Farmingdale (Soccer, Picnic Area, Playground, Restrooms, Free Wifi)
  • Gregras Park (Gazebo and Playground) Right off Staples street, Farmingdale and Conklin

Amityville


Copiague


  • Tanner Park, Copiague (Baseball, Turf Soccer/Football, Tennis/Bocce, Boat Launch, Fishing Pier, Picnic Area, Playground, Restrooms, Beach Swimming, Spray Park, Food Services, Senior Center, & Free Wifi)


Lindenhurst



Seaford


Out of the area:


  • Bethpage State Park (Picnic Area, Playground, Restrooms, Sport Fields, Hiking Trails, Sledding Hills, Tennis Courts, Grilling and Pavilion Access, and Bridle Paths)
    • [BIKE PATH] One runs North/South and starts at the Massapequa Preserve above and the other runs about 80 miles from Bethpage State Park along Quaker Meeting House Road, Bethpage Road and Main Street Farmingdale where it follows the Farmingdale Railroad Line into Riverhead. You can purchase an LIRR bike boarding pass for a one-time $5 fee.
  • Wantagh Park, Wantagh
  • Cedar Creek Park, Wantagh (Tennis Courts, Soccer, Softball, Multipurpose Fields, Basketball Courts, Handball/Paddleball Courts, Playgrounds, Picnic Area, Roller Rink, Sledding Hills, Archery Range, Aerodrome Field for Radio-controlled Model Airplanes, & Dog Run.
    • [Bike Path] Take the 7.5mi bike path on the west side of the park close to the main entrance and bike south to Jones Beach.
  • Eisenhower Park, East Meadow (Mini golf near the aquatic center (pool), 3 playgrounds (one with a sprinkler pool near parking field no. 2 on Hempstead Tpke, another on the Merrick Road side by parking field no. 1a, and a third by the Park Boulevard side toward Hempstead Turnpike parking field no. 4), picnic areas you can reserve (Leisure pass & fee; call 516/572-0347), Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, fitness trails, memorials, & food (Carltun on the Park).
  • Phelps Lane Park, North Babylon (Baseball, Turf Soccer/Football, Tennis, Basketball, Picnic Area, Playground, Restrooms, Swimming, Food Services, & Free Wifi)
  • Cantiague Park, Hicksville
  • Arboretum Park, Melville (Baseball, Tennis, Basketball, handball, & Playground
  • Belmont State Park (Sledding Hills & Cross Country Skiing)
