The Pout-Pout Fish and the Bully-Bully Shark

A story about kindness and being a friend, a gentle anti-bullying message.

September 23, 2017

As much as I love summer, after three fabulous months of pool parties, vacations, and memories with friends, I’m craving the routine that the school year brings–home-cooked meals together and regular bedtimes, complete with snuggling and books.

We are back to share some new suggestions for your family library. This month we’re loving The Pout-Pout Fish and the Bully-Bully Shark, the latest in the Pout-Pout Fish series which is part of the New York Times bestseller list. Each book focuses on a common childhood experience or anxiety and kids love the adorable and friendly Mr. Fish and his under the sea adventures.

In this new book, Mr. Fish teaches a bully shark about kindness and being a friend, a gentle anti-bullying message that will empower your children to speak up against bullies. Your preschool and early elementary-age children can swim along as Mr. Fish discovers the strength of his community, and the power of his own voice.

Here’s the official description of the book from the publisher:

Mr. Fish and all his friends
Love to play down at the park.
But that ends when they’re bullied
By a misbehaving shark!

Mr. Fish wants to help.
He knows bullying is wrong!
But he’s just one fish—
Is he really that strong?

We invite you to look for The Pout-Pout Fish and the Bully-Bully Shark at your nearest retailer or online. Let’s start teaching our children the importance of kindness right from the start!
