Review: The Lowe family's reluctant swimmer jumps right in now!

A Long Island Mom shares how Goldfish Swim School helped her apprehensive son learn to swim

By Remington Lowe July 1, 2018

I am excited once again to share the experience of swimming lessons at Goldfish Swim School with another mom that follows Farmingdale Macaroni Kid. Here's Remy's Experience with her son. -Tina

The Goldfish Swim School Farmingdale has been a big hit with my kids!  Consider my five-year-old, a problematic swim student if there ever was one.

Before enrolling at the Goldfish Swim School I was stymied in my quest for getting him to learn how to be comfortable in the water, let alone persuading him to master the art of swimming. His fear of the water and his absolute refusal to consider even dipping his toe in a pool left me feeling frustrated and defeated.

But once we started going to the Goldfish Swim School, his objections to being immersed in water seemed to evaporate. I’m not even sure how the staff did it, but their friendly, empathetic approach to coaxing him into the water quickly worked. Before I even fully grasped what was happening, his aversion to water turned into enthusiasm for jumping in.

And now, thanks to the professional, friendly, knowledgeable teachers, my reluctant 5-year-old is turning into a proficient swimmer. Plus, his six-year-old brother is also making impressive progress in perfecting his swimming techniques.

It also helps that the environment at the Goldfish School is kid-friendly to the max and super clean. No worries there. Among the amenities are a little coloring table where my two-year-old daughter can sit and crayon to her heart’s content while her brothers finish their lessons.

The folks at the school go out of their way to make each experience fun and pleasant. If you have a conflict and can’t attend a particular swimming lesson, rescheduling is a practically friction-less task that can be performed online or in-person.

I highly recommend the Goldfish Swim School in FarmingdaleI can’t even imagine how it could be any better. Our experience has been super satisfactory.
