Celebrate the Second Season of The Argyle Theater in Babylon Village, Long Island, NY

Broadway comes to Babylon with

Miracle on 34th Street

Performance Dates: November 14, 2019 - December 29, 2019

"Bring the whole family to enjoy the miracle of Christmas"

Watching the 1947 black and white film was a tradition in our house. Even as a teen, I loved feeling the magic of Christmas grow in little Susan and her mother Doris (Tiffan Broelli). Although I was in the know, it was great to escape back to the innocence of childhood and believing in miracles. The Argyle Theatre's Miracle on 34th Street can bring that back for you and your family. Cordelia Comando is amazing as Susan Walker. She'll bring the kid out in you with her sweet voice. J Ryan Carroll plays the part of Mr. Shellhammer spot on and Ira Kramer was perfect for Doris' love interest as Mr. Gailey. The beloved songs and talented vocals from the whole cast bring the story of Kris Kringle's job as Macy's toy store Santa to life.

About The Show

A holiday classic from the writer of the musical theatre classic, The Music Man!, and based on the movie of the same name, Miracle on 34th Street features a book and score by none other than Meredith Willson.

Single mother, Doris Walker, doesn’t want her six-year-old Susan’s head filled with romantic notions. Their neighbor, Fred Gailey, tries to woo Doris by charming Susan and taking her to see Santa Claus at Macy’s, where Doris works. Doris is not impressed, but when it turns out that Macy’s Santa may, in fact, be the real Kris Kringle, a wave of love spreads across New York City that melts even the most cynical hearts.

Filled with humor, spectacle and such beloved songs as “Pinecones and Hollyberries,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” and “My State, My Kansas,” this joyous, heartwarming musical is pure family entertainment, wholesome without being cloying. Perfect for the family this holiday season!

A Broadway Theatre Right In Babylon Village!

The Argyle Theatre is tucked comfortably in beautiful Babylon Village. There is ample parking in various lots around town. Our tickets were waiting for us in the theatre and the house manager welcomed us warmly. We took a fun photo by their step & repeat before purchasing drinks and snacks. Behind the concession area, is a spacious lounge with a piano where we sat to chat before the show. There is also a bar and lounge area with additional bathrooms upstairs. The seating and set design was my favorite part of the theatre. The sets are designed in-house for every show. The seating, 250 off the main lobby and 250 up on the balcony, have wide walkways so no one has to get up if someone needs to step out during the show. (Love this!) Seating is extremely comfortable and there are cup holders for your beverages on every seat. Along the center of the floor, is accessible wheel chair seating to accommodate 8 wheelchairs close to their guests. There is a coat check service in the winter and group discounts are available for parties of 15 or more. Be sure to use the 'MACKID' discount code when checking out your purchase to save $10 on tickets.

The Argyle Theater is located at 34 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702. For more information, you can call 631/230-3500, email the box office here, or visit their website. Box office hours are Monday-Sunday, 10am-6pm, with extended hours on show nights. Follow them on Facebook or Instagram.
